Innovation Space Advisory Committee

Purpose

The Innovation Space Advisory Committee provides feedback about areas of improvement, suggestions for the future, or current successful initiatives to build upon. It comprises startups who are active and engaged members of the Innovation Space community.

Goals

• Gain feedback from active and engaged space members about areas of improvement or things that are working well (short-term)
• Act as a sounding board for new space initiatives (short-medium term)
• Work collaboratively between committee members & Innovation Space team to build member-member connections amongst space community members (long-term)

Expectations of Committee Members

• Bring ideas to the Committee Meetings about area(s) of improvement & proposed solution(s) regarding:
  • Physical hub,
  • Virtual platforms and/or
  • Community engagement
• New ideas for the growth of the Innovation Space and it’s community
• Listen and have fact-based discussions
• Be willing to contribute to the implementation of new ideas or solutions (as appropriate/applicable)
• Serve as leaders within the Innovation Space community to encourage member-to-member engagement
• Gather feedback from other community members to bring to the committee meetings:
• Other members’ thoughts on the growth of the Space
• Other members’ expectations about the community, hub, engagement, resources, etc.
• Other members’ thoughts on new initiatives and/or areas of improvement that were discussed in committee meetings

Structure

• Bi-Monthly Meetings (could transition to quarterly): virtual or in-person
• 4-5 committee members
